Textbooks for Change is a Canadian initiative devoted to providing affordable and accessible educational materials to students both locally and abroad. Donated textbooks are either re-donated to African schools in need of quality education materials, recycled, or sold online. 50% of the proceeds from all books sold online are used to provide micro-loans to enrepreneurs or help fund socially purposed student clobs on campuses across Canada.
How can you donate? Bring your used textbooks to any of the library campus locations and drop off your donations in the clearly marked Textbooks for Change dropboxes.
As this is a pilot project, drop boxes will be available at each campus library until at least August 31, 2015.
