The Library team is growing

Noticed some new faces around the campus libraries?  Since January we have added 6 brand new full-time positions to better meet the needs of the Sheridan community.  Please join me in welcoming these great new additions!

Manager of Collections and Technical Services
Jennifer Hance is here to help us strategically build our collections and keep our systems running as smoothly as possible.  She has an extensive background in programming, project management, and technical services. With her extensive skills and savvy, we’re building a library collection fit for any university!

First Year Experience Librarian
Jamie Goodfellow is an enthusiastic library guru, eager to ensure that our first year students have the best possible experience of the Sheridan Library.  She will be working towards reaching out to every first year student and informing them of all the services the library offers, teaching them how to make the most of library collections, and ensuring that our collections and services meet their needs.

Scholarly Engagement and Applied Research Librarian
Susan Shepley is an old hat around Sheridan.  She’s been infiltrating the Faculty of Business for the past three years as their library liaison.  We’re excited that she is stepping into this new role with fresh enthusiasm so that we can better support the Office of Undergraduate Research.

Digital Assets Technician
Gemma Larcina with her speedy cataloguing skills is here to help our digital collections get into shape. With all the new online resources being purchased by the library, Gemma’s role will provide much needed support in rolling out access of digital resources to the Sheridan community and making sure our online collections are more discoverable.

User Services Technician, Davis Campus
Gabrielle Martin, with her fabulous flair and zest for information sources will be answering research questions, fulfilling inter-library loan and course reserve requests, and generally making life a little bit better for everyone at Davis, the busiest of the campus libraries.

Administrative Assistant
With the library team growing, and our collections and services expanding exponentially, the administrative team was in dire need of some assistance.  Enter, Pamela McBride!  Her organizational skills and “Can Do” attitude helps keep the team on track and functioning smoothly.
