A few facelifts for new and returning students

You may or may not have noticed, but while you were away a few of our resources received some significant facelifts to improve and enhance their features and functionality.  Hope you approve!

Just in case you missed it, Lynda.com updated their course pages late last term.  While great features like direct links to a course, exercise files, and transcripts are still available, you can also now get direct links to specific videos for sharing within the Sheridan community!  We’re pretty excited about this resource that just keeps getting better and better.

One of our core research databases, LexisNexis offer thousands of newspaper articles, legal cases, and company profiles.  Their new streamlined home page makes finding content even easier than before.  See Youtube.com/LexisNexisAcademic for tips.

Knovel is a premier engineering database offering quick access to top engineering handbooks and data.  They’ve moved the entire database over to a new platform and revamped the way their search results display.  You’ll love the lightening fast page loads.  Here’s a couple of tutorial videos to get you started.

Credo Reference

Credo offers access to thousands of definitions, descriptions, and images from a wide variety of dictionaries and encyclopedias, and now it’s easier than ever to navigate.

Access all these and more through the Database A-Z list
