Unfortunately, Safari Books Online will be down for maintenance for approximately four hours on Wednesday, July 4th. Expected downtime will be from 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. EDT / 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. PDT. Safari’s hosting team will be upgrading the SQL servers running their database.
All versions of Safari will be down, including the API, the web interface, Back Office, the mobile interface, and the Safari To Go iPad app. During that time, Safari web users will see a message that the site is down for maintenance, and this message will include a link to the support portal.
The reporting engine will take additional time to be tested and come online. Safari’s developers are hoping to get reports running on Wednesday by Thursday.
The Safari maintenance window schedule for Wednesday, July 4, 2012 by time zone is as follows:
- U.S. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT): 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- U.S. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT): 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m.
